Rabbi Yitzy Mandel
My mission is to educate and inspire the next generation of Jewish children. I’ve spent the past few years in Louisville working to enhance Jewish life through adult education, family events as well as Shabbos and holiday meals. I’m excited to actualize the vision of Montessori Torah Academy in order to build a strong Jewish future for our community.
I enjoy hiking with my wife and children, learning Torah, and snowboarding, when I have the chance.

Rabbi Nisanel Lindell
I’m trained in Montessori education by Rabbi Jonathan Rietti and Yeshivat Netivot Montessori and have 10 years experience imparting Jewish values to children. I feel there is a special opportunity in MTA to reach each individual child in a way that is most beneficial to them. My goal is to utilize my strong foundation of Jewish tradition to empower the next generation to be successful and happy.
I enjoy spending time with my family, doing outdoor activities, and engaging in Talmudic debates.

Morah Rachel Blaustein
I enjoy the creative approach to learning at Montessori Torah Academy. With my background in art and graphic design, I use innovative materials to teach powerful lessons. I bring my passion for Jewish heritage to school, and share my excitement with the students every day. With my trusty glue gun in hand, I feel like I can do anything.

Ms. Barbara Woosley
I have over thirty years of experience in education administration, setting up private schools across the United States. What I love about Montessori Torah Academy is the focus on Jewish heritage, combined with the excellent academic curriculum. I’m busy with the nuts and bolts of the administrative aspect, and I enjoy partnering with a terrific team on this heartfelt mission.
At home, my job is to care for my two enormous standard poodles, and one regular sized daughter, whom I love immensely.

Ms. Anju Patel
I’m certified by the American Montessori Society and have over ten years of experience teaching in Montessori classrooms. I enjoy the hands-on learning, the one on one interaction, and guiding each child to learn at their own pace. As I get to know each child over the course of three years, I love watching them grow emotionally, socially and academically.
One day, my dream is to travel around the world with my husband. For now, I’m busy taking care of my two sons and enjoying every moment with them.

Mrs. Caren Szanton
I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching in elementary education from Johns Hopkins, and my experiences working with children of many ages and backgrounds have furthered my deep understanding of child development and universal truths amongst children. I love the warm, family like atmosphere at MTA and the ability to form a special bond with each of my students.
I am new to Louisville and have been enjoying getting to know this part of the country with my husband and one year old son.
