Freedom within limits is the goal of every Montessori classroom’s unique design. Each child is actively engaged in the hands-on learning process, choosing their own work, based on their daily lessons.
In accordance with the Montessori approach, our primary class provides a mixed-age environment for children aged three to six. The younger children have the advantage of learning from the older students, while the older children gain a sense of responsibility, acting as role models and leaders.
Montessori education is designed to foster a child’s natural inclination to learn. The teacher acts as a guide, linking each student with activities that meet his or her interests, needs and developmental level. The Montessori classroom allows movement and collaboration, while promoting concentration and a sense of order. Students use peer learning and contextual learning to discover the world around them, gaining valuable life skills.
The Montessori Torah Academy combines Montessori educational concepts with a focus on traditional Jewish learning and Torah values, the core of Jewish identity and survival. At Montessori Torah Academy, the students are empowered to learn Torah and use Mitzvos as a guide for achieving their life’s mission. A wholesome environment provides the ideal setting for each child to develop the knowledge and understanding to experience the joy of Judaism.
